I’m 61 I was 20 when it came out and truthfully the first time I heard it, I hated it. It assaulted my senses like nothing I’d heard before. It was too much information going into one space all at the same time! Mind overload! Lmfaoooo. Anyway I borrowed the album from a buddy and he never got it back. Sorry dude! After I listened to it I was hearing things I never heard before, it was pure metal genius! And yes minds were blown for sure, the NWOBHM was just under way and these young upstarts from the Bay Area wtf!? But masterful in ever way my favorite Metallica album ever. 🤘🏼🤘🏼

I wonder how many times I listened to this album from beginning to end? 1000 times, maybe? Until the cassette tape snapped and I needed to repair it and then buy a replacement. I listened to it enough times to always know what song is coming next 😊
